Foreign Relations

Editorial policy

Our perspective

Foreign Relations is the English-language international edition of Relações Exteriores. Born in Brazil, it approaches international affairs from the Global South, with a commitment to independent, rigorous and pluralistic knowledge.

Editorial standards

Contributions should make clear arguments, distinguish evidence from interpretation, and acknowledge their sources. Views expressed in signed articles belong to their authors; publication does not imply endorsement of every argument.

Submissions and review

The submission process begins with editorial assessment. Manuscripts selected for peer review follow a double-blind process: identifying details should be removed from the manuscript. Commissioned articles and other editorial formats are distinct from this submission workflow.

Corrections and provenance

Readers can report a possible error through the report control on an article. References, original-language links and applicable editorial notes provide context for the published work.
